One Smooth Stone’s insight and direction is integral to our event strategy and execution.  They ‘get us’ – they understand the needs, wants and dynamics of our all-female audience; they guide our thinking concerning the role of our events within our business strategy; and they share our passion for doing things the right way and with heart.

Chief Executive Officer, cabi

In our wildest dreams, we would not have dared to think that our new partner would be so vastly superior to our previous partner; the production so surprisingly fresh, the quality of the production team so top rate, the execution so crisp, the direction so articulate.

Director, Conference Planning & Procurement, Follett Higher Education

It was a pleasure working with each member of the OSS team every step of the way.   Everyone was not only smart, fast and kind… but also, each was a true professional, in every sense of the word. It was clear that you would bring our general session program to a new level of professional excellence: true business theater. So, the bar has been raised!

Director, Health Plan Institute, Kaiser Permanente

Hiring One Smooth Stone proved to be the best choice we could have made. The entire experience from pre-planning, to preparation to execution and event follow up was flawless. Our partners said it was the best event they had ever been to and they couldn’t wait for next year.

The One Smooth Stone team did an outstanding job helping us execute a robust and engaging program for Ace retailers, employees and vendors as part of the Ace Fall Convention digital event. The team is incredibly creative and professional. They helped us deliver a unique and valuable experience for our retailers.

on time. on budget. on target.
(choose three)
Much has changed in the 25 years that we’ve been designing and delivering live and online events. With a portfolio spanning over 30 countries, our global perspective has broadened and our technical and digital savvy has deepened, which helps you stay relevant. But what hasn’t changed since our inception is equally important: We still apply strong visual storytelling skills that transform events into theater and breathe life into your communications.

we deliver exceptional results
because we have exceptional people.
Most people view the live events industry as stressful. They dread the “one shot to get it right” pressure just as much as the bombardment of strategic decisions and logistical details. We see things a little differently. What most consider pressure we embrace as our passion. We actually love delivering results in the face of circumstances most consider overwhelming. It’s not just our job, it’s our DNA. It’s why we do what we do. Maybe that’s why we’ve done it so well for so long. We love live!

As a founding principal of One Smooth Stone, Gary brings foresight into the changing needs of clients that has allowed the agency to evolve from simply producing meetings to addressing organizations’ marketing challenges and leading them from strategy through execution. Gary is a recipient of an Ex Award from Event Marketing Magazine for best corporate virtual event.

As a musician (yes, he had 80s hair-band hair), Gary is attuned to the rhythms and arrangements inherent in all meetings and events, especially during the planning process.
